There is a question that comes up in almost every conversation I have with founders.

Sometimes at the start. Sometimes it slips out at the end, after the frameworks and the tactics and the quarterly planning. But it always comes.

Are we cooked?

Not as a joke. Not as resignation. As a real question. As the thing you are actually thinking about at 11 PM when you are looking at your team and wondering what the next two years look like.

I have been sitting with this question for 18 months. Watching AI tools get embedded into how my team works. Watching founders pivot, adapt, freeze, and sometimes just wait and hope. And I have had a hard time finding a show that actually asks this question without immediately answering it for you.

So I made one.

Are We Cooked? is live today.

All five Season 1 episodes are on Spotify right now.

This is not a marketing podcast. Not a tech podcast. It is an investigative monologue series that asks one question across five domains and lets you sit with the answer.

Here is what Season 1 covers:

Episode 1: Are We Cooked? // The Question Every Thinking Adult Is Avoiding
300 million jobs exposed to AI disruption (Goldman Sachs, 2023). 192,000 white-collar jobs erased in the US in the last 12 months. Most conversations about this land in "AI will save everything" or "AI will destroy everything." This episode is about why neither answer is useful, and what the real question underneath both of them actually is.

Episode 2: Are Jobs Cooked? // Inside the 40% White-Collar Wipeout
The Klarna reversal is real. 16,000 American jobs disappearing every month is real. But so is the counter-evidence. This episode goes into the data, the narratives, and what both optimists and pessimists are systematically missing.

Episode 3: Are Kids Cooked? // What AI Is Doing to Children's Brains in 2026
54% of American teens now use AI for schoolwork, up from 13% two years ago. 72% have tried an AI companion. This episode is not about whether AI tools for kids are good or bad. It is about whether we are paying attention to the right variables.

Episode 4: Are Creatives Cooked? // The War Between Art and Algorithms
99% of creative professionals already use AI (Adobe, 2025). Writing income on Upwork is down 32% year over year. The gap between those two numbers is where this episode lives.

Episode 5: Are Relationships Cooked? // When Your Best Friend Is a Chatbot
220 million AI companion app downloads. 660 million Xiaoice users. This is not a niche phenomenon. Episode 5 goes into what happens to human connection when artificial connection becomes this available, this good, and this cheap.

The format is deliberate.

Each episode is a solo monologue, around 17 minutes. No guests. No debate. I talk through the research, the counterarguments, and the synthesis. The sequence moves from abstract to personal: meta to work to family to meaning to love.

The voice on this show is different from how I write here. Less contrarian. More patient. I am not trying to tell you what to think. I am trying to give you a better version of the question so you can think more clearly.

After 1,391 episodes across three shows, this is the one I have been building toward.

Are we cooked? You decide.
